I'd like to know why this cop is only charged with a misdemeanor at this point....IMO, there can be no justification!! This is absolutely outrageous...

I'd like to know this too! From what I have been reading of cops gone rogue, not enough of these cops, who find it far too easy to beat up kids, are being charged with ASSAULT. Isn't that a low felony offense, which should lead to their being kicked OFF the police force?
And even if they ARE charged and tried, like in the "Bootcamp 7" case in FL, referring to the infamous Martin Anderson case and the 7 bootcamp staff members, that's no guarantee of a conviction. All of them were found not guilty. Now in my opinion, THAT was a major travesty of justice.

This guy needs to be fired. He is obviously a time bomb that appears to have already gone off before.
Granted I know nothing about the shooting incidents but two shootings (plus this) in what 3-4 years, doesn't that seem unusual? I know cops with 10-20 years on the force who have never shot anyone.
I wonder how many more abuse issues will be coming out of the woodwork in the weeks to come....

I totally agree, Pia. Two shootings plus this incident seems like a huge red flag to me. I don't know why this guy shouldn't have been put on immediate suspension, pending an investigation into his past record.
