I just came across this today, and it gives me a VERY bad feeling. Specifically, another possible case like the infamous "child molestation ring" cases in Bakersfield CA that happened during the early 1980's. And let's not forget the Texas Polygamist Sect case last year either, which was highly suspicious.
Now, this could be a genuine case where there are actually true victims, but until I read there was real PROOF of such molestation, I'm going to remain a skeptic. This possible case comes out of Knoxville, TN where the Eric McLean case was tried at IN SESSION not too long ago. I'm going to have to find that link, because it looks like I deleted it by mistake. I'll post it when I find it.

Okay, I found it; this was the actual news story which was first published in July, 2008.
More Arrests Expected in Child Sex Ring
http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2008/jul/12/more-arrests-expected-in-child-sex-ring/
After reading the story again, I still don't like it, and right now I am very skeptical of these claims being made by Knoxville law enforcement. I'd like to know what their evidence was that led to the arrests of these suspects.
Remember that the TX Polygamist Sect case originated with a phone tip that turned out to be a hoax! Yet it took longer than it should have to start returning these kids to their parents. Come to think of it, I don't even know if all the kids in the TX case HAVE been returned. There were over 400 removed, if I remember correctly.
I know that there are real cases where terrible things are done to children, and those perpetrators have to be punished to the fullest extent the law allows. But after reading of past horror stories like Bakersfield, McMartin, Wenatchee, and more recently the TX case where innocent parents or relatives were suspected at best and prosecuted/convicted at worst, I want to see more PROOF of a case, not just fear, hysteria and plain-vanilla speculation before forming any conclusions. So far, I haven't seen any, and that really troubles me.
