Or she will be as soon as her cousin gets to the jail to pick her up.
The tissues samples that were "lost" have suddenly turned up. Sent to Canada for testing and there WAS NO ARSENIC in Todd's system, body, or organs when he died. _________________ Justice is conscience, not a personal conscience but the conscience of the whole of humanity. This is so wonderful....did I mention that it is wonderful? Because this is wonderful!! Not only were the charges dismissed, she has been exonerated - NO POISON in Todd.....
Pia, do you know how long it has been since she has seen her kids? Do you know if she is home yet?
Also, do you know how long the state has had the test results and when they let her attorney know they had "found" them? The way I am reading this is that her attorney just very recently found out they had been sent for testing.
Did I mention that I think this is just......WONDERFUL??!!!!
PS - Hotwater....we really need to get some better emoticons on here....Don't use them that much but there is none here that really represent how I am feeling right now!!!! _________________ "Evil triumphs when good men do nothing."

WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO! That's such great news, Pia! I'd love to know how these tissue samples got "lost!" I have my suspicions, but I'll let it go. I'm so happy for Cindy and her family! Her nightmare has finally come to an end, although it's probably going to take her a while to recover. This is a very happy day for all of us who believed in her innocence all along, and were determined to see justice done.

I agree, Saber, we need some kind of WILD HAPPY DANCE emoticons for this kind of WONDERFUL, FANTASTIC, JOYOUS news! I'm sure Hotwater can find them for us.
Too bad we can't add some "CELEBRATION" music here too. Dang, now I'm going to go to sleep with the "Ceeeee-lebration time, COME ON!" song by Kool & The Gang replaying in my head.

This link has some excellent videos - ESPECIALLY the interview with Allen Bloom....If you can only watch one, make sure it is his interview. He's exactly right about the Prosecution in this case....

I had to settle for just reading the news story, but for me that was enough!
It seems to me that lately there have been quite a few stories of exonerations due to various factors which suggest there was too much of a rush to judgment in these cases, without having all the necessary facts first. Cindy's case is only ONE such case, and thank goodness the results of these tests were found NOW, rather than another 10 or more years later.
With a person's life and liberty at stake when the prosecution tries a case, I think every prosecutor has a duty and an obligation to all the citizens of the city or county he or she serves to GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
Justice would be so much better served if more prosecutors made absolutely sure they had a good, solid case which would prove a defendant's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt BEFORE going to trial. That way, prosecutors like LG wouldn't risk looking like complete idiots when it turns out the defendant they turned into a "monster" was in fact INNOCENT from the beginning.

J, the interview with Bloom was so good...I am going to try and find a script of it and post it tonight so that those who can't see the video can at least read it! It was THAT excellent!!! He called out the prosecution in this case for what they were and exposed who was/were the real criminal(s) in this case. _________________ "Evil triumphs when good men do nothing."

SaberGal,
I am not sure how long it has been since she saw the boys but Jenna has had some visits with her. I know she saw her when I was out there but I think there was at least one scheduled visit since that was cancelled because of a "lockdown". Jenna and Jan are on their way out there now from what I understand. Her first stop after leaving the jail from what I understand was at Starbucks. LOL
I know I didn't wake up a single time last night. The first time in a long time. I guess it helped that I didn't go to bed until almost 2 AM but even with just a few hours sleep, I feel more rested than I have in a long time. Funny thing is, I still do not know Cindy. _________________ Justice is conscience, not a personal conscience but the conscience of the whole of humanity. This is awesome! I had heard about this case. I think it was on "Snapped." Am I right? I know I saw all the details somewhere and thought this woman was persecuted because of her personal life. _________________ "The Bible calls children a blessing, and debt a curse. Yet we apply for

It hasn't been on Snapped yet but they were going for interviews after the verdict last year. Not sure who all was interviewed but I have a feeling one of the alternate jurors gave his interview to them. At least he said he had given at least one interview and Snapped and Dateline are the ones I know about that have not aired yet. He wasn't in any of the others. _________________ Justice is conscience, not a personal conscience but the conscience of the whole of humanity.
