In going over the recent cases listed at the Truth In Justice website this morning, I was happy to see Cindy's case added. Here's the url, for anyone who wants to check it out:

Cindy's case is third down from the top, you can't miss it. However, as you will see on that page, hers is but ONE of the many of those who were wrongly convicted. While she and others have now been cleared and released, many are still unjustly in prison, for crimes they never committed. And those who don't have attorneys working hard on their behalf may wait a very long time.
I often think, why is it that only ATTORNEYS can be strong advocates for the wrongly convicted? Why is it that only people with a law license or degree are allowed to do the fighting in the courtroom? When you factor in all the defendants who were wrongly convicted due to ineffective assistance of counsel (which the appellate courts still continue to refer to as "harmless error" !), it shouldn't take a rocket scientist or even a law professor to know that the current Injustice System is working for the state only. Personally, I think it's high time that changed.
