Is anyone else having trouble with seeing the flag indicating new posts? For some reason, the little flag thingy don't always pop up for me....just wondering if it is happening to anyone else.

Hi Saber! Hope all is going well with you. Sometimes, that little flag doesn't always work here either, although most of the time it does. For example, it did for THIS new topic. lol
I've been posting quite a bit less often in the past week since DS is now on summer vacation. What can I say, he likes places like the local water park better.

I will ask Hotwater to check on it. It may just be an issue of deleting cookies or something like that.
I am doing OK...the weather here is beautiful so I don't blame your son a bit for preferring to spend his summer at the water park! Hope you are enjoying your time together with him!

I am enjoying my time with DS together a lot! Yesterday, we went to the local water park for the first time this summer. It was terrific! Both slides they had were replaced by brand new and BETTER ones, which we both enjoyed a great deal. Although I think I rode the slide down two more times than DS did. It brings out the "kid" in me, I guess! I think I embarrassed DS though; he's in high school now. 
They also made improvements in the pavilion areas, and we make it a point to come early, when it first opens up, swim for an hour or so, then have lunch and leave when the big crowds start to arrive. I bought their family pass this year, which will save $ on the cover price. With these obscene gas prices, I have to save wherever I can, as I imagine all families do. We just hung out and had a "lazy day" today, but that was fun too. It's just great not having to get up at 5:30am.
Anyway, it's been a great week. Hope it has been a good one for you and your family as well.

I would bet your DS is not nearly as embarrassed as you think he is! Spending time with a parent is so very important even for high schoolers!
I love swimming so it sounds like you guys are having a great time. I hear ya on the gas prices too...it's crazy!

Nah, I was just kidding about him being embarassed; it wasn't like he HAD to go with me. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the summer; just having the time with him is great, and he understands what the gas prices are doing to my budget, not to mention everyone else's!
Hope you and your family are having a good start to summer vacation as well.
