THANK GOODNESS! I was so relieved and very happy to see that the verdict was NOT GUILTY on 1st degree murder for Eric McLean this morning. The conviction of the far lesser charge Reckless Homicide is entirely appropriate, and I had tears in my eyes as well, because this was the best news under the circumstances. I could tell by Bruce Poston's reaction that he was really fighting hard to keep his emotions in check until later.
I only hope that Eric, with Bruce Poston's help, will be able to find his children, and bring Erin to court. I believe that is what Bruce (hope he won't mind my using his first name) meant when he said "let's dance in the future." I am positive he meant in COURT, when she eventually faces a CUSTODY SUIT.

HA! I was right, and Bruce just confirmed it! Yes, I've been trying to write this and listen to BEST DEFENSE and Bruce's conversation with JF at the same time. Not an easy thing to do.
Seriously, I hope Erin will be found very soon, and that Eric will be able to file suit against her so she will lose custody of those children. They should be back with Eric and his family.

I am happy with the verdict. It is a very sad case all around. _________________ Justice is conscience, not a personal conscience but the conscience of the whole of humanity. Those who clearly recognize the voice of their own conscience usually recognize also the voice of justice.
