If you or someone you know or love were suddenly accused of a crime, who would you call? Do you personally know an attorney, investigator or expert in a scientific field who would help you get the most effective defense they could provide? Unfortunately, many do not. And when you are accused of a crime, it is an effective defense team that makes the critical difference between keeping your life or liberty and losing it.

It has often been said that those with the deepest pockets are able to hire the best legal assistance, and that is a fact. But even if you had the funds to hire the best, it helps to know who the best really is. It is impossible for anyone to know that simply by looking in the Yellow Pages.

That is why we at What Say You would like to provide a list of professionals, including criminal defense attorneys, private investigators, and scientific experts in various fields to help those who are in need. We are only going to provide the names and the states where they practice, as specifically as we are able.

I will start by listing the names of defense attorneys who I personally believe were not only effective but also zealous in defending their clients, and whom I would want defending me, should I ever find myself in that frightening position. I saw all of these attorneys on IN SESSION on different cases, and I feel they did an outstanding job, even if the verdict was not the outcome they desired.

Hell, if I am ever accused...guilty or not (hehe) I'm going to dig up Johnnie Cochran...deceased or not, he would still be better than most of the original lawyers in some of the cases I have read about lately...

I know...I'm going to hell for that one.

I know we've been concentrating on attorneys so far, but we also want to include investigators in any capacity, along with expert witnesses in various fields. We need EVERYONE who can help those accused of a crime to get the best defense possible, if they can.

If anyone knows of an excellent investigator (or investigative consultant lol) or expert, please list that person and what his or her area of expertise is. Come on, I can't be the ONLY one here who knows of good attorneys and other defense professionals, and right now, I don't know enough! Zambeste

While doing some "digging" into the area of Ineffective Assistance of Counsel online, I came across the following website:

Apparently, this is a group founded by two private investigators that takes cases where DNA testing cannot prove guilt or innocence. This group is very different from the Innocence Project, which is staffed by lawyers and law students to handle cases, and they do not take cases for no pay.

However, for those who haven't been able to get assistance any other way, it doesn't cost anything to look over their web site and read the material it provides. The decision of whether to contact the group or not is entirely up to the individual. It is, at the very least, another option which could make a difference, even though it is not a guarantee.
